Our Team

James and Carolyn Strait served Baptist churches in North East Arkansas for twenty years (1972-1992). In April of that year, with a small group of friends, they launched Shepherd’s Heart Church and have remained until this present time serving as Senior pastors. They have three children, eight grand children and one great grandchild. All of them attend and serve at SHC. James attended Williams Baptist College, holds two degrees from ASU and completed doctoral studies at MSU and Luther Rice Seminary. Carolyn has a BS degree in Social work with an emphasis in counseling. It is their greatest desire to be disciples and followers of Jesus Christ and serve the family of God and His Kingdom.
